Women’s Health Testing

The IGx Women’s Health Test is a molecular real-time polymerase chain reaction-based test that offers a large panel to diagnose these common pathogens that can infect women and damage their overall health.

The test can also include many antibiotic resistance genes to help with appropriate medication selection to treat the present infection. This comprehensive Women’s Health test is performed using a simple swab by an OB/GYN provider. Patient results are wirelessly transmitted typically within 24- 48 hours upon specimen receipt to our laboratories.

Innovative Gx Laboratories STI offer molecular diagnostic testing in the area of women’s health testing for OB/GYN providers to help diagnose many common infectious diseases of the female reproductive and urinary tract. These infections can be caused by many different types of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, that result in gynecological conditions (bacterial vaginosis (BV), vaginitis, yeast infections), sexually transmitted diseases (trichomoniasis, chlamydia, gonorrhea) and urinary tract infections.

Many of these infections can be silent or have overlapping symptoms common to other infections in the reproductive tract. Quick and accurate detection is needed to help with the correct identification of the pathogens present to help with successful treatment for patients.
